Bruce Lee in type

This is a page I am most proud of because it looked so complicated and i didnt even think of attempting to try this, but I came up with one that doesnt look bad at all.
Again i chose to keep consistancy of two colours of black and yellow ( also colour of jumpsuit from the film ENTER THE DRAGON )

New Tyson Combo

Thinking of ideas that could be done with the piece I came up with the idea of putting another picture of myslef slightly larger on the left side whereas it could be like a thought is running through my mind. Still consisting of two colours.

Mike Tyson Combo

Here is my sillhouette verion of my slef trying out a Mike Tyson combination which I learnt at at my Thai boxing Academy.
This page needs something else like a background, effects or even another picture just to add to the attractive factor

FINALLY COMPLETED FIST OF FURY!!!!!!!!!!

This page of the scene of Bruce Lee film "Fist Of Fury" is finally completed.
There wer times when I felt I was finished and there were parts that needed changing, the biggest points were the joints and bends in the legs and arms though it was a very little thing that needed to be changed It frustrated me a lot.
Now its finally done and it is all sequenced and all alligned the other pages are needed to be done now.

Information Graphics

Using Some Information rather just basic illustrations was another way I cam across for an idea for a page for my book.
The font I chose for this pages is a very narrow font, so even though it looks like it has been squashed together I assure you it hasnt.

Mr Miyagi in type

Looking at using type I chose to create an highly influential "Master of Martial Arts" Mr Miyagi.
I chose to Include text from his life and also include quotes from the hit film "The Karate Kid", quotes such as "Wax On and Wax Off".

Mike Tyson Combination

The Technique here is used my Mike Tyson Himself, I couldn't find Images in the right angle, but I just wanted to show what I aimed to do, I am going to silhouette a step by step process of the combination and try using two-three colours ONLY!!!!!!!!!

1st Icon Poster Finally Developed

During the Drastic measures I had to take when my hardrive packed up I lost my first attempt of using the icons as a fight scene from the Bruce Lee Hit Film "Fist Of Fury" (the scene where lee arrives at the japanese school and beats every student including the teacher).
As you can see there are many small signs showing the feelings that they have when fighting e.g the anger veins and the sweat drop showing unsureness.
Now I have finally worked into this piece where the bends are noticeable and you can see what actions are taking place.

Henry Matisse

This image had the best narritive behind the piece it was of the character Icarus regaurding Greek Mythology. Icarus was commonly know for recieving a pair of wings made by father daedlus in attemot to escape Crete using these wings, he was warned so many times no to fly tooo close to the sun or to low towards the Sea but did not listen he flew too close to the sun burning the wings off and then falling into his own death.
This is a piece created by Matisse which is very childish a 4 year old could accomplish, its just some shapes cutout and stuck down on the page. But to be fare this is one piece in which i feel the colours actaully go well
As I was speaking about his colour coordination, you can clearly see that the colour that have been chosen are absouloutely attractive, they make the painting intersesting and makes the aduience become very observant when coming across this but they are not well fitted together, they do not go well with any other colour in this piece at all, But i guess this is one aspect that he was most famous for his colour usage no matter how hideous the piece turn out

Henry Matisse 31st December 1869 - 3rd November 1954. French Artist known for his use of bright and vibrant colour but not know for his colour coordination

another example of identity

What Is Identity?

New Idea blown Up I have just come up with this idea right now, Im sitting here thinking to myslef what has My Martial Arts have to do with Evolution n I been thinking long and hard n theres nothing so instead of me going back to the drawing board n thinking what shall i do that has to do with DNA I could stick with Martial Arts but base it on identity I mean I could include, How do you know its that fighter, By looking at the fighting technique how can you be sure its them, is it appearence, facial hair, fighting stance etc
The Posters I already done for evoloution will still be used

Looking at the joint and bends together in this piece I begin to understand the concept of not having just straight lines they reason the have the bends and joint is to show a good sense of movement in the sequence

Medical/DNA

Here is a phtograph of the Pills Packet
Final Pharmacy instillation

Here is my fist idea for my I con poster as you can see they are only a few bends not that many which will make it clear to the audience

Barnbrooks Olympukes

The icons are very realisitic by that meaning they show movement in a single image by correctly showing the bends in the knees and the elbows. The reason I uploaded this is because I recently drew out a Bruce Lee fight scene as stickmen but I didnt include the bends to make them look like an actual fight scene so after some critical but true information it has helped me improve my piece

Thursday, 13 May 2010

The silhouettes here are very interesting because they show characters from popular films and have silhouetted them in different colours but also placing next to them is their height and name.
This is one of the ideas I have for one of my final posters I am going to create a step by step scene of the first fight in the Bruce Lee film Fist Of Fury, so they could be some really cool icons

Information Graphics could be another way of going with my posters because I am highly influenced by Bruce Lee I was thinking tying out something like the image above, I could have the years along the side with information of his most famous years with a few pictures maybe sillouettes
This is another idea for icon poster. Its basically showing small thumbnail icons for the different types of "athlons" and what sports are there to compete in e.g Long jump, power walk, cycling etc. the icons also include how many metres the race will last for e.g 80m or 3km

Inspiration from Visual Aid Book I picked up

This is a idea which was very cool because it shows the step by step technique of "front crawl" but I like the sense of movement in the pictures to get a clear sense of the movement.

Very good use of typography embedded within the picture, the cool thing is that all the uses of type within the picture are Bruce Lee's quotes he published in his philosophy book

My Timeline Concept

This is a attempt of an evolution poster which was displayed as timelines. These timeline show the year the fighters were born and what their fighting technique whether it is Kung-fu or Boxing

New concept

Seeing as things weren't going according to plan with my illustration I decided to make a small booklet containing my illustrations displayed in graphical ways such as my main idea of a timeline showing the fighters I choose and sillouetting them to show age and fighting style which will be really cool bu my previous illustrations wont go to waste Im going to include them in my booklet also and then have them blown up from the final show.
but first things first is I got to create the pages before I even think about binding a book together.

Boxing

Boxing is also a martial art and a combat sport in which two people male or female where they both must be of the same weight not worrying about height, fight each other but only in fist combat no other part of the body may be used.
It is also supervised by a referee and consists of 12 rounds lasting 2-3 minutes each.
There are three ways to win:
1) Victory is achieved if the oponent is knocked out and is unable to continue the fight while the referee counts to ten
2) Technical Knockout which consists of the oponent gathers an injury which seals he/she from continuing the fight
3) If the fighter suffer none of the above they are tested on points where either the referee decides or the matchs judges declare a winner.

Muay Thai is a hard martial art originated from Thailand. It is quite similar to Chinese styles of Kickboxing. The word muay originates from from Sanskrit which is a historical language used in Hinduism and Buddhism, the word thai comes form the word tai. David Haye

Again this is very poorly traced my trace made it seem Davi Haye's grandad was fighting because of the facial appearence

Floyd Mayweather

Mike Tyson

This trace of bruce Lee was my favourite trace with no doubt it would be very successful if it was a drawing class but this still needs work doing to it, theres choices of of background colours, could it be displayed in different ways, does it need colour? there are many thoughts that need to be considered.

Vincent began his life normal not knowing of his death which will accur at the age of 30. growing up it was time for vincents parents to enroll him into school but on one condition they wanted to have life insurance for the safety of their child knowing what any dameg to theri son would lead to.

A couple of years had gone by and vincents mother was pregnant again and was expecting another boy, Vincent's brother Antone.
Though far superior than Vincent in order of height, swimming ability and of course the non heart problem they would always compete in a competition to test who is really the chicken or not, the competition was to go into the oceana and see who could swim the furthest without having to turn around and head back the loser was obviously the chicken.
